A question about race and colour?

The reason African-Americans are called that is because African-Americans want to be related to Africa. If you took basic history, you learned that African-Americans were unwillingly removed from their origin countries and continent and therefore chose in honor to call themselves that to relate themselves the continent of Africa. On the other hand, whites left Europe willingly, they left Europe and did not want to do anything with it. The reason they came to the New Land to begin with.
