What does styro mean as a scientific prefix?

We have to create an imaginary animal for science, and one of the prefixes that I'm using is styro, but because I left my paper in my locker, I forget if that's how it's spelled. It's supposed to mean spiked, and I KNOW the first letters are sty. Thanks in advance.
