Who thinks that McCain's 'softening in defense' of Barack at a rally somehow is more of the same anger tactic?

When he mentioned that Barack was not a Muslim, I somehow felt a jolt, like he was trying to reinforce that he WAS a Muslim (not that there is anything wrong with being a Muslim, but our perception is not complimentary on the Muslim thing)
