What potential fears might veterans have in returning home from war? What potential challenges might they conf?

not talking about any war in particular, just in general. i know that after world war 2 a common fear was that there would be too many people looking for jobs and a recession would arise so truman issued the GI Bill. is that still a fear today? what else? as far as reintegrating, i'm sure mental state would be a problem for some. I've always heard that no one comes back the same from war and of course they wouldn't. what other challenges couold come up though?
